The crime case that has come up recently is from Raisen in Madhya Pradesh. Near Udaipura, about 100 km from the district headquarters, police have registered a case of a gang-rape of a 40-year-old tribal woman against three accused and arrested two accused while one is still absconding. According to reports, Inspector Inderraj Singh, in-charge of Udaipura police station, said, 'Kunwar Lal and Manju Gond, residents of Boras village have been arrested for gang rape, while one of the accused in the case, Pritam Bedia, is absconding and the police is looking for him.

According to the complaint of the victim, she told, 'The woman, resident of Chhindwara, left for village Saikheda in Silvani Tehsil on Friday late evening and took a lift from a tractor to reach the village of Boras. From there she was waiting for the bus to go to Saikhera, but the bus did not arrive till 10 o'clock, so Kunwarlal, a resident of Boras village, took her to her house because it was too late in the night.' According to the complaint written by the police further in this case, it said, "there Kunwar Lal also called both his companions Manju Gaur and Pritam Bedia and all three raped the woman after drinking alcohol."

In this case, Singh said that in the morning the woman gave information about the incident to the Udaipura police station and after that, the police took action and arrested the two accused under relevant sections of IPC. The police is on the lookout for the absconding accused.
