29 MBBS Students in Mumbai KEM, Seth GS Medical Colleges Test Positive for Covid-19

Mumbai: 29 students from MBBS studying at KEM & Seth GS Medical College in Mumbai have been found corona positive. As per the information received, 23 out of 29 students are in the second year and 6 students in our first year. Out of 29 students who found corona positive, 27 students reportedly took both doses of the corona vaccine.

At the same time, it has been reported that two students have been admitted to Seven Hills Hospital for treatment while other students have been made quarantined. Information is being ascertained as to how all these students were exposed to the virus. On the other hand, infection cases in thane in Maharashtra have increased to 5,59,110 after 315 new cases of coronavirus were reported. An official has informed about this. Three more patients have died here following which the death toll in the district has increased to 11,406.

In this case, an official said that the death rate from Covid-19 in the district is 2.04 percent. Another official said, the cases of Covid-19 in neighbouring Palghar district have increased to 1,35,882 while the number of people who lost their lives due to infection is 3,276. Let me also tell all of you that the Government of Maharashtra has approved financial assistance of more than Rs.138 crores for the families of state police officers and other employees who lost their lives during corona duty.
