Mumbai: A video from Mumbai, the country's economic capital, is going viral on social media, with a woman, a traffic police constable, being seen beating her. The woman has been arrested by the Mumbai police after the video surfaced. The woman is alleged to have assaulted the traffic police constable who was performing the duty.
On the case, DCP S Chaitanya said that a man was caught driving a bike without a helmet. The traffic police were arguing and the woman who was with the man attacked the constable. The DCP said that if the woman was abused, she could have complained to our seniors. We are a disciplined force and a process of everything.
The DCP said in strict terms that we will not tolerate this type of behaviour. Policemen are working hard during the corona epidemic. The incident happened Friday afternoon near the cotton exchange Naka of Kalbadevi. The bike rider was stopped by traffic police constable Eknath Parth. The woman was driving a bike without a helmet. There was also a person with him. The traffic constable cut off the challan for not wearing a helmet. In the meantime, the stories started. The woman grabbed the constable's uniform. She started beating and the woman's companion began making videos. The woman alleges that the constable had abused her. The matter is presently under investigation.
