Aurangabad: A shocking incident is coming to the fore from Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar in Maharashtra where police have arrested 3 fanatics for harassing a hijab wearing girl in the middle of the road. These fanatics chased the Muslim girl for a long distance, then tried to snatch her mobile and also abused her. They did this to her because she had gone to visit Bibi Ka Maqbara with a Hindu boy. This incident is of Begumpura area on Monday (24 April 2023). Its video is becoming fiercely viral on social media. The police have started the investigation of the case registered.

In the viral video, these fanatics try to stop the college student. He holds her hand. They try to snatch her bag and pull her hijab. The girl screams loudly on the road and repeatedly says 'leave me, leave me'. But instead of letting her go, they start snatching her phone. They ask her, “Who is that boy. Why are you with a boy from another religion?" Thereafter, they start harassing her. One of them grabs the girl's hand, then she starts running to escape from them. She shouts and asks him to leave her hand. Due to this many people are present around on the road, but no one comes forward to help the girl.

Due to the same incident, some people around made a video of the misbehavior with the girl and made it viral on social media. After getting information Begumpura police reached the spot and arrested three criminals in this case. All three have been arrested under sections of insulting a woman, stalking her, attempting to steal, causing hurt and threatening her, Deputy Commissioner of Police Deepak Girhe said. Police identified the woman from the CCTV footage and asked her to file a complaint. But she refused. After this, the police took Self action and registered a case. The victim girl is a resident of a town in Ahmednagar. Who is preparing for the competition by staying in Sambhaji Nagar. Immediately after receiving the complaint of molestation of the girl, the police team reached the spot. The girl was rescued by a family and taken to their home. Then the police brought her to the station. Inspector Shivaji Taware said that after some questioning the girl was dropped at her house.
