LUCKNOW: The Lucknow University administration has banned all 'dharnas', protests, and processions inside the university's campus.

In a circular, Proctor Rakesh Dwivedi said that no gatherings would be permitted on the university campus as the district administration implements  Section 144.

The National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) team is anticipated to visit the main campus of Lucknow University from July 21 to July 23. This is why the relocation has been made.

"No one will be allowed to carry firearms, and students won't be allowed to go around in groups. No student is permitted to bring a guest onto the campus; instead, they must remain in their designated department, study area, or library "stated a proctor-issued command.

"Since the inspection by NAAC team will be done from July 21 to 23 in the LU campus, only vehicles of those teachers and employees who are deployed to be present with NAAC team members (teachers and employees), and Dean of various faculties, will be allowed entry into the campus," the university official said. Vehicle passes issued by the registrar office for teachers, officials, and staff for the academic year 2022–2023 would continue to be suspended at this time, he noted.
