India's well-known archaeologist and Padmashree Dr. KK Muhammad said that if the old rulers have made any mistake then today's Muslims are not responsible for it. It is wrong to justify it. He said that now there is a need for Hindu-Muslims to build a strong India. Dr. Muhammad was speaking at Dattopant Thengdi Smriti Shatabdi Lecture on Saturday in Bhopal, capital of Madhya Pradesh. The theme of the lecture was 'Role of Archeology in National Identity'.

In his statement, he said that evidence of having a temple in Ayodhya has also been found in the pillar of Babri Masjid. Padmashri Dr. Muhammad said that in 1976 a team of the Archaeological Survey of India did excavation work in Ayodhya. They surveyed the disputed structure with their team. The team surveyed around a 4km radius around Babri Masjid.

He said that fragmented idols of Hindu deities, snakes, pigs, and dog figures were found. According to him, Muslim rulers lived far away from dogs. The snake has been used with statues of Vishnu or Shiva. 2063 such big and small statues have been found there. The design of crocodile is also found in other Hindu temples in Pranala designed to extract water. He said that an inscription has also been found from there, in which something has been said from King Bali.
