Mumbai: A lot of uproars are being seen in Maharashtra on a statement by NCP leader Chhagan Bhujbal. Due to a meeting, Bhujbal had compared Mumbai to a hen that lays golden eggs. Now his one statement created a stir in the politics of the state and BJP MLA Manisha Chowdhary made it a big issue. On the one hand, she mentioned the humiliation of Mumbai and on the other hand, she also emphasized the humiliation of women.

Talking to the same journalists, Manisha Chowdhary said that Bhujbal had compared Mumbai to a hen during the debate in the House. When I tried to oppose them, they shouted and silenced me. This is an insult to all women legislators. Now BJP is trying to make it a big issue, linking it with an insult to women, but NCP has also adopted an aggressive stand. Bhujbal has argued that only the Marathi line was mentioned on his behalf. It was said in that line to kill the hen that lays the golden egg.

In his defense, Bhujbal further said that I had only said that Mumbai is a golden hen, don't kill it. I was talking about saving this city. But one of my sisters has a complaint as to why Mumbai was called a hen. For now, Bhujbal has taken back his words, but the NCP has alleged that attempts are being made to create a ruckus through false facts. It has even been said that the BJP did not say anything when the Governor of the state was making controversial statements about Savitribai Phule.
