It will be challenging for any Indian director to make a Ramayan-based movie after Adipurush. It will be challenging for any filmmaker to produce a movie based on the mythological epic anytime soon given the numerous problems that surfaced immediately after the debut of the Om Raut movie, but it appears like Nitesh Tiwari is moving on with his goal to bring it to the big screen. The Dangal filmmaker recently spoke candidly about his movie and its casting in an interview.

Following the controversy surrounding Adipurush, Nitesh Tiwari spoke candidly about making his Ramayana movie in a recent interview, “My question is very simple. I am also a consumer of the content that I create and if I’m not going to offend myself than I’m very confident that I might not end up offending anybody else.”

The principal parts of Sita and Ram in the movie had previously been linked to Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor. It hasn't yet received an official announcement, and when questioned about it, the director replied, "Very soon."

Adipurush by Om Raut, which came out on June 16, received criticism for its dialogue and boycott requests. Along with the clothing, the movie's VFX also attracted criticism from viewers. The three primary protagonists in Adipurush were Janaki (Sita), Lankesh (Raavan), and Raghav (based on Rama), played by Prabhas, Saif Ali Khan, and Kriti Sanon. The creators later altered the dialogues as well.

Manoj Muntashir has apologised for Adipurush and acknowledged that the movie wounded people's feelings. He tweeted about it, “I accept people’s emotions have been hurt by Adipurush. With folded hands, I extend my unconditional apologies. May Prabhu Bajrang Bali keep us united and grant us strength to serve our sacred Sanatan and our great nation.

In the meantime, Varun Dhawan and Janhvi Kapoor are starring in Nitesh Tiwari's forthcoming movie Bawaal, which is getting ready for release. The movie's trailer, which will be available on Prime Video on 21 July, generated negative feedback and perplexed many viewers by equating a love story with World War 2.

Both Varun and Janhvi's characters in the trailer travel to Europe and take in the sights of towns like Paris and others that were at the epicentre of World War II. The historical occurrence appears again in the video as the protagonists discuss a “world war within.”
