Patna: Taking a dig at the Narendra Modi government, a key political aide of Bihar CM Nitish Kumar has termed the Union Budget as disappointing for the state. Upendra Kushwaha, who was part of the Union Council of Ministers till he resigned in 2018, attacked the government through Twitter. At the same time, Chief Minister Nitish has praised the budget. Kushwaha, chairman of the JDU's parliamentary board, tweeted, "The Union Budget may be historic for the developed states, but it is disappointing for Bihar.

At the same time, Chief Minister Nitish said that in the Union Budget, many decisions have been taken by the Central Government to accelerate the pace of development in India, which is commendable. The decision to build infrastructure on a large scale in the country is also welcome. At the same time, Speaker Kushwaha said that Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has saddened Bihar by ignoring the demand for special status to the people of Bihar. In his tweet he also added the hashtag, "Desh Ke Pradhan, pay attention to Bihar". Kushwaha has been aggressively attacking the BJP for allegedly defaming Emperor Ashoka by a Sahitya Akademi award-winning playwright associated with the BJP.

At the same time, the BJP gave a befitting reply to this. State BJP president Sanjay Jaiswal said, "If one hopes to give special status in the budget even after being a Union minister, then his ignorance can be pityed. "I have spoken before and I am speaking again that the central share of revenue for Bihar is more than a more populous and productive state like Maharashtra. This shows the Modi government's concern for poorer states like Bihar.
