Hyderabad: Telangana High Court has recently revoked the permission regarding Muharram. The High Court has revoked the permission for the procession of Muharram. Earlier, the Supreme Court had heard the petition filed for permission to take out Tajiya procession during Muharram on Tuesday. On Tuesday, the Supreme Court gave a decision cancelling the permission.

The High Court said that "In view of the increasing infection of Corona, permission is not being given to take out the procession as per the guidelines of the Ministry of Home Affairs". In the past, a petition was filed in the High Court regarding the permission to take out a procession on an elephant during Moharram. On Wednesday, the High Court has heard this. On 30th of this month, the High Court heard on Wednesday the petition filed in connection with the permission for the procession of Muharram from Old City, Dabirpura, Bibi Ka Alam to Chadarghat.

During this time, the case was presented by Councilor Pandurang Rao on behalf of the petitioner. It was said that people bring elephants from other states for their own procession. Because of this, the court denied permission and after knowing this, the court said that the High Court will not interfere on this subject.
