Noida: A case has come to light in Noida, adjacent to Delhi, where an owner who had given the responsibility of protecting the house and robbed the house. The landlord, who was lodged in Tihar jail in Delhi, had given his house to his servant in Noida for care, and the servant along with his accomplices cleaned his hands on goods worth about Rs 5 crore, including gold and silver jewelry and a car, from the owner's house. The accused servant and his accomplice have been arrested and recovered Rs 30 lakh at sector 49 police station in the city.

Noida Additional DCP Ranvijay Singh said, "On May 2, Ramu Thape had said in a complaint to the police that his owner Piyush Bandyopadhyay, who is lodged in Tihar jail in Delhi in connection with the fraud case, had given the key of his house to his driver Gayadin alias Gopal for protection. A few days after going to jail, driver Gopal, along with his friend Hira, drove from Piyush's house to his Ciaz car, a scooty, gold and silver ornaments kept in the house, essential documents, 2 fridges, 2 LED TVs, sofas, carpets, washing machines, many AC and all others in the same truck. The thieves left nothing in the house. The total value of the stolen goods is around Rs 5 crore. The police have since registered a case and started investigating the case.''

Additional DCP Ranvijay Singh has informed that police arrested the main accused servant Gopal resident of district Chhatarpur Madhya Pradesh in the case. Based on Gopal's interrogation, police have also arrested another accused, Hira's resident Chhatarpur, Madhya Pradesh, who was involved in the incident. In fact, Piyush, the owner of the house where the burglary took place, ran a company called Innovative Ideas and gave technical support advice to foreign companies.
