The date of 29 October 15 years ago is recorded with a sad event in the history of the country. On this day, two days before Diwali in Delhi, the festivities were eclipsed by the bomb blasts. October is usually the season of festivals in Delhi. First the pomp of Ramlila, then the enthusiasm of Vijayadashami, the shopping of Dhanteras, the gaiety of Diwali and then Govardhan Puja and Bhai Dooj. There is a lot of enthusiasm in the markets for these festivals coming one after the other. On 29 October 2005, on the day of Dhanteras, many parts of the city were shocked by bomb blasts like Delhi. 60 people died and over 200 were injured in these blasts in busy markets. The terrorist organization Lashkar-e-Taiba was believed to be behind these blasts in Delhi's Sarojini Nagar, Paharganj and Govindpuri. Know when the first explosion took place:-

According to media reports, the serial blast swelled at three different places, the first of which took place at Paharganj, a heavily crowded area, around 5.30 pm. Exactly half an hour later, at about 6 p.m., another bomb exploded in another busy market, Sarojini Nagar. The blasts took place in buses, cars and bikes.
