Patna: Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) is in a ruckus before the Bihar assembly elections. In the last few days, 6 RJD MLAs and 5 MLC have left the party and joined the Janata Dal United (JDU). With another MLA leaving the party on Tuesday, the number of MLAs who have left RJD has increased to 7.

On Tuesday, RJD MLA Virendra Kumar from Teghra Assembly joined hands with JDU. Bihar government minister and senior Janata Dal United leader Lallan Singh got Virendra Kumar to join the party. Due to the death of former President Pranab Mukherjee, the meeting ceremony organized on the occasion of Virendra Kumar's party membership was canceled. Without any frills in JDU office, Lalan Singh got party membership to Virender Yadav.

After joining the Janata Dal United (JDU), Virender Kumar said, "I have been with Nitish Kumar from the beginning. He is like our elder brother. No one has done as much development work as Nitish Kumar has done. Someone comes from anywhere in the RJD and gets a ticket. Anyone from Mumbai or Kolkata comes and gets a ticket. The people of Bihar will answer all this. "
