Bhubaneswar: A man slit his wife to death on suspicion of illicit relations in Odisha. Not only this, the husband left for the police station located 12 km away with the severed head of his wife. This case is of Dhenkanal in Odisha. According to the police, Nakaphodi Majhi killed his wife Chanchala by slitting her throat at Chandrashekharpur in Dhenkanal, Odisha. 

Chanchala had two sons, one of whom is also married. At the same time, a sensation spread in Chandrashekharpur after this brutal incident came to the fore. The man was caught by some people on his way to the police station and handed over to the police. According to media reports, Majhi suspected that his wife had illicit relations. There was a fierce fight between the two regarding this. After this Majhi attacked Chanchala with a sharp weapon. After the murder of Chanchala, the next morning, Majhi started going towards the police station with the severed head of his wife. 

However, some people caught him on the way and handed him over to the police. Police registered a case and arrested Majhi. Majhi also accepted his crime. Apart from this, the weapon used in the murder has also been recovered. The police have also started investigating the matter.
