Lucknow: Today the fourth phase of voting is going on in the Uttar Pradesh assembly elections. Meanwhile, during the voting in the Sadar assembly seat of Lakhimpur Kheri district, a strange case has come to light. Actually, the chaotic element put faviquick in the EVM machine installed at Kadipur Sani polling booth of Lakhimpur Sadar assembly constituency. Due to this, voting was disrupted for about one and a half hours. Former MLA and Samajwadi Party (SP) candidate Utkarsh Verma said, 'Someone mischievously put faviquick in the button on our (SP's) number one, due to which the button was not pressing itself, we complained. After this, the Election Commission took action, during which voting was stopped for about one and a half hours.

SP candidate from Lakhimpur seat, Utkarsh Verma told that, 'We demand that strict action should be taken against whoever has done this act, his picture will definitely be there in the CCTV. According to the information received from the sector magistrate now, someone has put faviquick on the first number button, which is not being pressed. A voter standing in the queue at the polling booth said, 'Voting was going on here since morning, we were in a queue when someone told that fevicol is installed on the EVM, the button is not pressing, we have been working for almost two hours. Standing, many officers have come.

Let us inform that voting is going on in 8 seats of Lakhimpur Kheri (Palia, Nighasan, Gola Gorakhnath, Srinagar, Dhaurhara, Lakhimpur, Kasta and Mohammadi). Last time BJP did a clean sweep in Lakhimpur Kheri, but this time Tikunia violence remains an issue. Eight people, including four farmers, lost their lives in this violence.
