Amritsar: The Border Security Force (BSF) has arrested a Pakistani youth crossing the Indo-Pakistan international border. The youth had crossed a barbed wire and entered Indian territory when he was captured by 136 battalion jawans of the BSF. When questioned, he identified himself as 24-year-old Mohammad Tarif's son Mohammad Baijan resident Baba Khajuwan Tehsil Kamlia district Toba Tek Singh (Pakistan).

BSF officials handed over the youth to Punjab Police for investigation after interrogation. Officials said no objectionable items were found in the search of the youth. However, why he is entering India like this is being ascertained. According to a BSF jawan, they were patrolling the area of their check post barrier when they saw the youth in a suspicious condition near the barbed wire on the border. He was caught by the jawans from there.

The Punjab Police had foiled a terror attack plot a few days ago. In fact, during a search at a post on Amritsar-Harike Road, a man was caught in Tarantaran district from whom 2 hand grenades were found. Those hand grenades were Chinese-made P-86 markings. The man was identified as Sarup Singh from Johal Dhai village.
