Kolkata: West Bengal CM and Trinamool Congress (TMC) supremo Mamata Banerjee on Thursday targeted the BJP, alleging that on the one hand Hinduism is being gradually forgotten in the country, but on the other hand PM Modi is trying to garner votes during the elections. He is calling himself a 'Saint'. Mamata Banerjee alleged that the BJP-led government at the Center was changing facts and even history by denying rights to marginalized communities.

On Thursday, Bengal CM Mamta Banerjee fiercely targeted the BJP and Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Mamata alleged that, they (BJP) are ruining everything. History is changing. Dalits, Adivasis are being harassed. The original Hindu religion is being forgotten, but when elections come, PM Modi becomes a 'saint'. They introduce themselves as 'Saints'.

On Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose's statue at India Gate, he said, 'BJP first removed Amar Jawan Jyoti in Delhi and installed Netaji's hologram. Now the hologram is also missing. BJP people remember the name of the icon only when elections come. Let us inform that PM Modi had unveiled a hologram statue of Subhas Chandra Bose at India Gate on the occasion of the birth anniversary of the freedom fighter. The hologram was to serve as a placeholder until the granite statue to be installed at the same location was completed.
