Leh: PM Modi reached Leh on Friday morning amidst tensions on the border with China. This visit of PM Modi was sudden, which surprised everyone. Along with PM Modi, Chief of Defense Staff (CDS) Bipin Rawat was also present. Here, Army and Air Force officials informed PM Modi about the ground reality. There has been tension on the border with China since May.

PM Modi reached Neemu's forward post on Friday. Senior officials here informed them about the situation. PM Modi also interacted directly with the officers of Army, Air Force. Earlier only CDS Bipin Rawat was going to come on this tour, but PM Modi himself arrived and surprised everyone. Let us tell you that Neemu Post is situated at an altitude of 11 thousand feet above sea level, which is considered to be one of the highest and dangerous posts in the world.

According to the information, during his visit, PM Modi spoke to 14 Corps officers. Along with this, CDS along with Bipin Rawat took stock of the current situation. During this, Lieutenant General YK Joshi of Northern Army Command, Lieutenant General Harinder Singh were also present. Tension has been on the border with China since May and there is a continuing critical situation along the border.
