On Thursday morning, Special Cell of Delhi Police arrested Pervez and Secretary Ilyas, President of Popular Front of India (PFI). The Special Cell has arrested both while investigating the ongoing protests in Shaheen Bagh and the relationship of PFI. Ilyas is a resident of Shiv Vihar area of Delhi. He is accused of providing funds to people during demonstrations.

PFI member Danish Ali was also arrested on Monday. The PFI has been accused of providing funds for demonstrations against the amended Citizenship Act (CAA). The inquiry into Danish has revealed the planned violence in Delhi.
