Lucknow: Political parties have started preparations ahead of next year's assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh. Meanwhile, Maulana Taukir Raza, national president of the Ittehade Millat Council (IMC) in Bareilly and accused in the Bareilly riots, has made a statement that is believed to be set to spark controversy. They have welcomed the population control law. However, he has also made very complicated arguments about this law.

Maulana Taukir Raza has said that the Population Control Act (Population Control Law) is against Hindus because Hindus have more children. This law is being enacted to deprive them of government facilities. Maulana Taukir Raza further said that Muslims do not have more than two children and do not get the benefit of government facilities anyway.

Maulana has also formed a new executive, during which he also attacked the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Congress. Replying to a question on supporting the party in the elections, he said he would support the party that will form the riot commission. The Maulana also attacked AIMIM Chief Asaduddin Owaisi saying that Owaisi's language is correct even in Hyderabad, but not good for the entire country.
