New Delhi: Canadian law enforcement has disproved claims made by the pro-Khalistan separatist group, Sikhs for Justice. It was said that armed men had worked to disrupt the voter registration campaign related to their separatist program called Punjab Referendum 2020. On August 15, while local SFJ activists were proceeding to conduct the drive near the Indian consulate in Toronto, 8 people were arrested on the complaint of an unknown citizen.

The five were then charged with firearms-related offences after having a loaded handgun. The SFJ alleged that the vehicle had an Indian tricolour and their drive was intended to sabotage. These things were also told in the local media, but the Peel Regional Police has categorically denied the incident. Meanwhile, when asked whether it has anything to do with the proposed program of the pro-Khalistan group and the allegations levelled by the SFJ.

PRP spokesman said in clear terms that he had not received any information regarding being an agent of India. Apart from this, another PRP spokesperson said in response to another question from the Indo-Canadian Voice that, while commenting on the threats of political nature has been made by local media outlets, our investigation has found nothing.
