Airline News Updates: Due to unfavorable weather conditions leading to a cracked windshield, a Vistara flight en route to Pune had to make an unexpected return to the Delhi airport on August 23rd, according to official reports. The decision to bring the aircraft back to the IGI Airport was a precautionary measure taken by the flight's pilots. Vistara's spokesperson confirmed this and also mentioned that arrangements were promptly made for an alternative aircraft to accommodate the passengers.

The spokesperson stated, "We can confirm that Vistara flight UK 991, which was traveling from Delhi to Pune, encountered adverse weather conditions shortly after departure, resulting in a crack developing on its windshield. As a safety precaution, the flight crew opted to return to the IGI Airport in Delhi, where the aircraft landed without incident."

They further added, "An alternate aircraft has already been arranged and is scheduled to depart soon. We deeply regret any inconvenience caused to our passengers. As always, the safety and well-being of our customers and crew remain our utmost priority at Vistara."

Additionally, it was reported that the airport's call center received a call at approximately 7:30 AM on Friday, where the caller claimed that "three explosive devices had been placed aboard flight number UK971, stationed at gate number 42, and were set to detonate within an hour." The flight UK971 was originally scheduled to depart at 8:30 AM but ended up taking off at 4:30 PM after thorough security checks. Vistara released a statement clarifying that the delay of flight UK971 was a result of "mandatory security procedures."
