Patna: The last rites of former Union Minister and Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) veteran Raghuvansh Prasad Singh will be held with full state honors at 2 pm on Monday at Mahanar Hasanpur Ghat in Vaishali district. Earlier on Monday morning, his body was taken to Hajipur via Patna's JP Bridge. In Vaishali, his mortal remains have been taken to the ancestral village of Shahpur for public viewing. Now the final journey of Raghuvansh Prasad will start from there.

Significantly, Raghuvansh Prasad Singh died on Sunday at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Delhi. His body was brought to Patna on Sunday evening, where many people including CM Nitish Kumar and Deputy CM Sushil Modi paid tribute. Let us tell you that Raghuvansh Prasad Singh was the strong leader of the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), but he had resigned from the party just three days before his death.

Earlier, the body of Raghuvansh Prasad Singh was brought to Patna on Sunday evening, which was taken to the assembly premises. Many people, including CM Nitish Kumar, Deputy CM Sushil Modi, Speaker Vijay Kumar Chaudhar, Leader of Opposition Tejashwi Yadav and Rabri Devi paid tribute to him.
