New Delhi: Former Congress President Rahul Gandhi on Saturday attacked the government for trying to prevent him from reaching Delhi in protest against the three Central Agricultural Laws, alleging, 'PM Narendra Modi's arrogance' sent the soldiers against the farmer. Congress national general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra claimed that the red carpet is laid for the capitalists coming to Delhi, while the paths are being dug when the farmers arrive.

Rahul Gandhi, while sharing a picture of lathi-charge on the farmer by a security guard, tweeted, 'A very sad photo. Our slogan was 'Jai Jawan Jai Kisan' but today PM Modi's arrogance made the soldier stand against the farmer. This is very dangerous. ' Priyanka has claimed through the tweet, 'Look at the system of the country in the BJP government, when the BJP's billionaire friends come to Delhi, a red carpet is put on them but the way for farmers to come to Delhi is being dug.'

Priyanka Gandhi asked that the Delhi government should make laws against farmers, it is fine, but if farmers come to Delhi to talk to the government, is it wrong? The farmers who have travelled to Delhi in protest against the agricultural laws have been allowed to enter the capital of the country on Friday and they can protest in Burari grounds. Earlier, at several places in Haryana, the police used water cannons and tear gas bullets as part of an attempt to stop the farmers.
