Bhubaneswar: Odisha Government Railway Police (GRP) raided a moving train on Wednesday. The GRP team took this action in the Mumbai-Bhubaneswar Konark Express. In its raid, GRP has recovered 32 kg of gold ornaments from 4 passengers.

The value of these ornaments in the market is being told to be Rs 15 crore. The others traveling in the train were stunned to see so many gold ornaments in one bag. In this case, GRP officials say that when these people were asked for documents related to jewelry in the Mumbai-Bhubaneswar Konark Express, they did not have any answer. It is being told that all these four people are residents of Mumbai. It is feared that these people were taking jewelry for the local shopkeepers.

After taking the four passengers into custody, a senior GRP official said, 'It seems that they were taking these ornaments to give to some local shops.' The four passengers had reached Bhubaneshwar from Mumbai and were accompanied by four bags, each containing eight kilograms of gold ornaments. The official said that he was working for a section of gold merchants in Mumbai.
