Delhi So Far Receives Lowest Rainfall In August In 10 Years, Know ten years record

Statistics from the Indian Meteorological Department show that the national capital Delhi has recorded 72 percent less rainfall than normal so far in August. Which is the lowest in 10 years. However, the Meteorological Department has predicted moderate to heavy rain between Sunday and Thursday. The public can get relief from this humid summer. The Safdarjung Observatory, which provides official figures for Delhi, has recorded only 31.1 mm (mm) of rain so far this month. While the normal rainfall figure is 109.6 mm. The Palam Meteorological Center has recorded 55.6 mm of rainfall, which is 51 percent less than the normal 114.3 mm. Whereas Lodhi Road Observatory has forecast only 25.6 mm of rain against the normal of 109.6 mm, which is 77 percent less.

In Delhi, 37.1 mm rain was recorded in the first twelve days of August last year. The state received 56 mm of rainfall in 2018, 64 mm in 2017 and 41 mm in 2016. At the same time, it was 110.6 mm rainy in 2015, then 120.5 mm rain was recorded in 2014. At the same time, the statistics of the Indian Meteorological Department show that in July this year, Delhi received 236.9 mm rainfall, which was 12 percent more than the normal 210.6 mm. Whereas Mahesh Palawat, a knowledgeable forecasting private agency Skymet Weather, said that there was no rain in the city as the monsoon axis fluctuates, and it has not been in Delhi-NCR for much longer.
