Jaipur: Dr Mahesh Joshi and his son Rohit Joshi, who are the ministers of the Ashok Gehlot-led Congress government in Rajasthan, have been accused of raping a 23-year-old girl by promising her marriage. In this case, the North Delhi police registered a zero FIR and transferred the case to the Superintendent of Police of Madhopur, as the victim was raped there for the first time.

The victim has alleged that Rohit Joshi raped her several times. He filled sindoor in her forehead and said now you are my wife and we will get married soon. He then took her on a honeymoon and raped her. It is alleged that when she became pregnant, she was also aborted. In the FIR lodged at the Sadar police station in Delhi, the victim, a journalist by profession, has levelled several allegations. She told the police that the two of them had become friends through social media. Gradually, the acquaintance grew and the two got closer. According to the victim, on January 8, 2021, last year, Rohit had taken her to Sawai Madhopur, where he raped her by feeding her drugs. During this time, the accused made obscene pictures and videos of her. On the strength of this, he was constantly blackmailing her.

The victim has stated in her complaint that Rohit pretends to be a minister for his father and says that he has connections with miscreants and mafias. He's not afraid of the police. It is alleged that Rohit threatened to kill the victim and her family members, saying, "I am the son of the minister and no one can spoil anything of mine.''

The accused is a member of the Pradesh Congress Committee:-

The minister's son is alleged to have taken the victim journalist to his friend's farmhouse on April 20, 2022, where he filled sindoor in the journalist's forehead and said that she is now his wife and the two will get married soon. He then took the victim to Manali for a honeymoon. But in the meantime, on August 11, 2021, she became pregnant and when she told the accused in this regard, there was a lot of dispute between the two. The next day, the accused called the victim back to his friend Ajay Yadav's office once and assaulted her. Not only that, but he also forcibly aborted her. Even after this, he did not stop and was raped at Hotel Samrat in Delhi on September 3-4, 2021 and then last month on April 17, 2022, she was also molested. The victim has told the police that Rohit used to forcibly rape and beat her up by consuming alcohol the next day.
