NEW DELHI: Defence Minister Rajnath Singh emphasized the importance of creativity, interpersonal skills, and intelligence for future employment in the era of machine learning and artificial intelligence. During his visit to the Republic Day camp at Delhi Cantonment, Singh praised the National Cadet Corps (NCC) for nurturing well-rounded individuals with physical, mental, and emotional strength.

"In today's world of machines and artificial intelligence, qualities like creativity, interpersonal skills, emotional intelligence, and sensitivity are essential for staying relevant and employable," Singh shared with the NCC cadets.

Discussing the growing use of artificial intelligence in the technology-driven era, Singh predicted a shift towards careers in sectors where machines cannot handle specific tasks. He emphasized that machines, despite their capabilities, lack creativity, consciousness, and interpersonal skills possessed by humans, as per information from the defence ministry.

Singh highlighted the crucial role played by the NCC in addressing this gap. "Through various initiatives and programs, the NCC ensures the holistic growth of cadets, making them physically, mentally, and emotionally robust while fostering social skills and a sense of patriotism and national pride," he explained.
