Chandigarh: A Class 12 rape victim from a village under Tigaon police station area of Faridabad adjoining Delhi died after consuming sulphas bullet. The girl's father alleged that a youth accused in the rape case of his daughter was reported to have come out of jail on bail. He was very upset and that's why he died. The police have registered a case of abetment to suicide against two of the main accused, including the main accused, on the statement of the victim's father on Sunday. According to the police, the main accused is in the army.

A man from a village under Tigaon police station said he works in a school. His daughter was picked up on January 2, 2021 by Sauraj, a resident of village Atali, and his friend Naveen, a resident of Gadkheda, from the school. He said Souraj is in the Indian Army. It is alleged that Souraj and Naveen took his daughter to the cell made by their friend Dundal and raped her there. Later, Naveen had left his daughter in a nearby village. His daughter was a minor (17 years) at the time of the incident. Now his daughter was in the 12th grade. He had lodged a case against Souraj and Naveen at Police Station Tigaon. The accused, Souraj and Naveen, who were lodged in Neemka jail, were arrested.

In his complaint to the police, the victim's father said that on Sunday, his daughter and he received information that the accused, Souraj, had been granted bail by  the court. His daughter told him that his father had not got justice for him. He explained a lot to his daughter that the matter was still pending in the court. Nothing can be said yet, but at around four o'clock on Sunday, his daughter consumed the sulphas tablet. After that, his health deteriorated a lot. He took her to Dr Amit in Tigaon. From there he was taken to Sarvodaya Hospital. He admitted his daughter to Sarvodaya Hospital. He died there during treatment.

The girl's father has filed a case against Souraj and his friend Naveen and sought justice. Investigating officer Sub-Inspector Anandpal said that a case of rape has already been registered against the accused, Souraj and his friend. ACP (Tigaon) Surendra Sheoran said that rape accused Souraj had come out on bail on April 1. The police will investigate and take action on the complaint of the victim's father. The victim will get justice. The accused will not be spared.
