Nagpur: RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat emphasized the inclusive nature of Hinduism and the absence of religious conflicts like the ongoing Hamas-Israel war in India during an event marking 350 years of the coronation of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj in Maharashtra's Nagpur. He highlighted that Hinduism, as the religion and culture of India, respects all sects and faiths, and India has never witnessed wars on religious grounds.

Bhagwat stated, "In this country, there is a religion and culture that respects all sects and faiths. That religion is Hinduism. Everywhere else, there is a war going on. You must have heard of the war in Ukraine, the Hamas-Israel war. In our country, there have never been wars on such issues, we have never had such a fight, we do not fight with anyone on such issues."

He clarified that being a Hindu-centric country doesn't mean rejecting other religions. Bhagwat underscored that Hindus have a tradition of protecting all faiths, including Islam. He compared the conflicts in Ukraine and Israel-Hamas to the historical invasions faced during Shivaji Maharaj's times. However, India has never engaged in wars on religious matters.

The ongoing Hamas-Israel war began on October 7, leading to substantial casualties in the region. Israel responded to Hamas's terror attack, which resulted in over 1,400 deaths and 3,000 injuries. The conflict has caused significant loss of life, and the situation remains complex.
