Sarah Paulson just revealed something surprising! The 46-year-old Emmy-winning actress hinted at departing from American Horror Story after participating in nine of the past ten seasons. During an appearance on Watch What Happens Live, the actress discussed teaming with Ryan Murphy once more and said, "I don't know, it's the first time in maybe three years that I don't know." I believe this is my final season of American Horror Story. I mean, I'm not sure. Whenever [Murphy] approaches me with some whack-a-doodle persona, I usually say, "Yes, let's do it!" I'm not sure; this is my first time. So, we'll see,” Sarah acknowledged.

Sarah's new confession follows her accusations that filming an AHS episode made her feel imprisoned. Sarah said to THR that she was not thrilled about acting in the Roanoke season in 2016. “I'm just not interested in this season at all. I know people are going to hate me for saying this, but this was after I finished playing Marcia [Clark in The People v. O.J. Simpson], and it was what I went to do right after finishing Marcia, but I was so unimpressed by the whole experience because I felt like I had decided to enter into a new place inside of myself in terms of what I thought possible, in terms of what I might be willing to try. I felt really kind of trapped by my responsibility and my contractual obligation to do American Horror Story. As much as it’s my home and I’ve loved it always, it was the first time I felt like I wish I could have gone to Ryan and said please let me sit this one out. You know, let me out.”

For the unversed, Sarah plays a homeless woman named Tuberculosis Karen in the current season of AHS: Double Feature.
