Lucknow: Reacting to Samajwadi Party (SP) national president Akhilesh Yadav's Jinnah statement, Progressive Samajwadi Party (Lohia) President Shivpal Yadav said that we do not know Jinnah. Shivpal Yadav, who arrived in Aligarh with his party's Parivartan Rath Yatra, said that we were not born at that time. Shivpal further said, "I know Ashfaq Ullah Khan, Abdul Hamid and Dr Abdul Kalam. He said it will show the results of the UP assembly elections as to how the statement is going to affect them.''

Talking about nepotism, Shivpal Yadav said that the farmer's son is a farmer, Netaji and I (Mulayam Singh Yadav) have hardly achieved this position in the party. If someone comes into politics by contesting elections and hard work, it is not fair to call him nepotism. He also said that we have learnt renunciation and struggle from Netaji. Shivpal attacked the BJP saying law and order and price rise in his government have broken the back of the common people. Talking about the change in names of several places by the Yogi Adityanath government, Shivpal said that renaming any place and an institution cannot lead to development but it has to work for it. Which the BJP Government is not able to do.

Shivpal Yadav said the BJP has cheated the people by giving the slogan of Sabka Saath and Sabka Vikas. The Yogi government is only looking at the benefits of the capitalists. At the same time, he promised that the villagers will be given 24 x 7 electricity and 300 units of free electricity when their government is formed. Akhilesh Yadav, who arrived in Hardoi district of UP with the Samajwadi Vijay Rath Yatra, compared Mahatma Gandhi, iron man Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel and Jawaharlal Nehru to Mohammad Jinnah, which is in turmoil.
