A shocking incident came into light in which a 22-year-old girl staged her death by killing another lookalike woman. After killing her she also dressed the body in her own clothes. The accused woman was arrested by Greater Noida.
Police arrested her for Killing her look-alike who work as a mall employee to elope with her boyfriend. As per a police official, the woman is identified as Payal Bhati, " She and her partner Ajay Thakur killed the victim after befriending her as she had similar physical attributes to Bhati. They had also planted a purported suicide note in the name of Payal Bhati and made it appear like a case of suicide."
The accused also send the body to her family member with a note. Payal Bhati's relatives, who burned it, based on the suicide note. In the suicides note it was written, "My face is now scorched, and I don't want to live," According to police, the suspects took the girl to Payal's house, murdered her, and disfigured her face to make identification harder. The women dressed the body in her clothes to impersonate her own death before eloping with her lover.
As the victim went missing on November 12, her family members filed a complaint with the Bisrakh police station An early investigation indicated that Payal Bhati's parents committed suicide about six months earlier, and she blamed her brother's in-laws for their deaths. Payal's family had borrowed money from her father, and when he asked them to reimburse it, the relatives began tormenting him, prompting Payal's father to commit suicide.
The accused arranged her own death in order to incriminate her family in a bogus lawsuit. Her grandfather, on the other hand, claims that she wanted to marry Ajay but was afraid that her family would not approve of their relationship. She then pretended to die in order to give the impression that she was dead.
