NEW DELHI: Aftab Ameen Poonawalla, who is suspected of killing his live-in spouse and dismembering her body into 25 pieces, would be taken to the hospital by Delhi Police on Monday for some vital pre-tests before the narcotics test.
Tuesday marks the conclusion of Aftab's five days in police detention, and the Delhi Police is working quickly to schedule the tests at Rohini's Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Hospital.

Although it is unknown at this time if Rohini FSL's narcotics test will take place on Monday, sources claim that police have officially contacted him.

While examining Aftab's phone, authorities found many drug dealers' contact information.

"He may have smoked charas and marijuana. He has links for drug dealers in Delhi and Mumbai who are being investigated on his phone "the sources stated.

Police teams have also been sent to Tosh in Himachal Pradesh after it was found that he and his live-in partner had been there for a considerable amount of time.

On May 18, Aftab killed his live-in lover Shraddha Walkar by strangling her and then dismembering her body.
The rental home in Chattarpur where the offence was committed has so far undergone a thorough examination by forensics and crime scene investigators, police said.

Multiple exhibits have been seized from the house. "Various combing operations have been carried out in various places, including some woodland areas, where some bones have been seized," the official claimed in response to Aftab's disclosures.

Blood samples from her father and brother have been gathered for DNA testing in order to determine whether the bones belong to Shraddha.

It will take 15 days to receive the DNA test results.
