The woman who has accused the NCP leader of raping her is a singer by profession. The woman said, "she has complained of rape against Munde in the Mumbai police. But the police are not helping him and he is only giving assurances in the name of investigation. The woman is said to have also shared a copy of the complaint made in the police alleging rape against Munde on social media.

When the police are not getting help, the woman has sought help from NCP chief Sharad Pawar, his daughter Supriya Sule, CM Uddhav Thackeray as well as other leaders including former CM Devendra Fadnavis in the case. The woman has to say to all these leaders, "Dhananjay Munde is at risk of life. '
