Smart Classroom for under priviledged students in Vellore, Tamil nadu

The Tamil Nadu Education Minister K A Sengottiyan, earlier has informed that 7500 schools across the state will be provided with smart board for each classrooms over a period of two years. As an example, Vellore’s Dinesh Saravanan helps in setting up a smart classroom for the underprivileged students of Government Adi Dravidar Welfare Primary School in Vellore. It is an inspiration to others.

As an effort to give life to the dreams of bringing in a rapid transformation of moving technology into the classrooms the 31 year old IT guy Saravanan, along with his friends network in Social Media platform has raised funds to sponsor the smart boards. Saravanan said, it is an year long project and the school managemnet cooperated well with this idea. Hence, they provided all the necessary arrangements for the smooth successful running of the project. Due to pandemic, the project dragged six more months to complete.

Post lockdown he start to work agin last month and now the classroom is perfectly equipped for both the students and teachers to go on a digital tour. The vellore district collector A Shanmuga Sundaram inaugrated the classroom last tuesday and dedicated it to the students. The Scotland Scholar, James Pillans in the 1800s invented Chalkboard but he might not have thought this as the first step towards the modern education. He might not have known this invention marks the beginning of futuristic advanced inventions.
