To enhance the spiritual journey of devotees during the ongoing Chardham Yatra, Uttarakhand authorities have enforced a mobile phone ban within a 50-meter radius of Kedarnath Temple. The move aims to maintain the sanctity of the pilgrimage and ensure a hassle-free darshan for visitors. Strict penalties are in place for violators, with district authorities tasked to enforce the ban. Devotees are urged to adhere to these guidelines for a serene temple visit.

New Guidelines Issued for Char Dham Yatra
Uttarakhand government has rolled out fresh guidelines for the ongoing Char Dham Yatra, emphasizing the need for devotees to register and exhibit restraint during their pilgrimage for a safe and smooth journey.

Registration and Commencement
All states have been notified that no devotee should embark on the Char Dham Yatra without prior registration. The pilgrimage commenced with the opening of Kedarnath temple on May 1, marked by traditional rituals and bhajan chanting. Doors of Yamunotri and Gangotri Dham were opened on May 10, followed by Badrinath shrine on May 12.

Online Registration and Annual Pilgrimage
Registration for the annual pilgrimage to Uttarakhand's four holy shrines began last month on the tourism department's website. These sacred sites, closed for about six months during winter, attract thousands of devotees. The pilgrimage season typically spans from April/May to October/November.

Police Guidelines and Operations
Uttarakhand police have issued guidelines urging devotees not to commence their journey without registration. Operation Maryada is underway to maintain discipline and deter misconduct, such as alcohol or drug consumption along the pilgrimage route.

Appeal for Cooperation and Respect
The Director General of Police, Abhinav Kumar, has requested his counterparts across states to refrain from sending VIPs for Char Dham Darshan until May 31 due to the unexpected crowds. Authorities are committed to ensuring a safe journey and urge respectful conduct to preserve the pilgrimage's sanctity.

Significance of Char Dham Yatra
The Char Dham Yatra holds profound spiritual significance in Hinduism, involving visits to the sacred sites of Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath, and Badrinath. Devotees believe this pilgrimage can lead to spiritual liberation and divine blessings.
