Squid Game returns with a completely new season 2. The first season of Hwang Dong-hyuk's Korean survival thriller drama action series was the most-watched show on Netflix in 2021. The Netflix series is scheduled to debut season 2 after earning massive success throughout the world, and fans are already ecstatic. On Sunday, the streaming service released a new video on Twitter revealing the cast of the upcoming season. 

Im Si-wan, Kang Ha-neul, Park Sung-hoon, and Yang Dong Geun will appear as new players in the upcoming season 2 of Squid Game. Season one cast members will return, including Lee Jung-jae, Lee Byung-Hun, Wi Ha-jun, and Gong Yoo. The Netflix trailer provides a sneak peak at season one. It shows the new cast approaching a platform. At a Netflix press conference in 2022, director Hwang Dong-hyuk said that the second season of the hit series Squid Game will most likely release in 2024. However, at Tudum in Brazil on Saturday, Netflix announced that the highly anticipated series will be available on the streaming site in November.

According to a source, the plot of season 2 would feature Seong Gi-Hun with a new red haircut, according to a report in Dexerto. It will chronicle the ramifications from Gi-Hun's decision to remain in Korea rather than accompany his daughter to the United States. The plot will provide new insight on the enigma of the game. In an interview with People, actor Lee Jung-jae hinted to a season 2 narrative twist. He said, “I have no idea what will happen or the scale of it, but the only thing (director Hwang) did tell me was that Seong Gi-hun is going to be in the show again, and he’s going to be playing in the arena again.
