The government on Friday reversed its decision to open the court amidst a campaign to combat the coronavirus infection in the state. Now in Srinagar, the summer capital of Jammu and Kashmir, the government's court will open from June 15 instead of May 4.

For your information, let us tell you that partially functioning will start in Srinagar Secretariat from May 4. Now the work will continue with the staff present in the secretaries of both capitals. At present, most of the employees of Kashmir are present in their homes due to the lockdown. The order to open the court was issued by Rohit Sharma, Additional Secretary, Government of Jammu and Kashmir.

It has been made clear in the order regarding this matter that the formal opening of the court in Kashmir on May 4 will affect the campaign against the Coronavirus. Instructions have been given to the Administrative Secretaries to give a list of their employees by 21 April, who will run the activities of the Secretariat in Jammu and Srinagar. At the same, the secretaries of the department have also been instructed that there should be no problem in the functioning of the secretariats. For this, complete arrangements for video conferencing of all departments should be made. Better means of communication should also be arranged in both Secretariats. Depending on the condition of the coronavirus, the administration may decide to open the court on or before 15 June.
