New Delhi: A strange incident took place in the Supreme Court today i.e. Friday (November 18) during the hearing of a case. In a case in the Supreme Court, the partaker himself started cross-examination, but the judges objected to his speaking in Hindi. The judges said that the language of this court is English. We don't understand what you are saying. On the other hand, the complainant kept talking in Hindi with folded hands and also presented some documents in support of his point. On this Justice KM Joseph and Justice Hrishikesh Roy said that we do not understand Hindi. Both the judges said, 'We cannot understand what you are saying. The language of this court is English.'

According to the report, even after the judges said that they do not understand Hindi, the complainant continued to present his case in Hindi. During this, a lawyer who was waiting for his case approached the man and the lawyer translated the whole thing and placed it before the judges. As per reports, Additional Solicitor General Madhavi Divan, who was present at the spot, also reached out to the person who was deposing in Hindi and helped him. After some discussion with him, Madhavi told the court that she wanted a lawyer. The court then indicated to a lawyer, who translated the man's entire statement and placed it before the judges.

During the hearing of the case, the Supreme Court asked a lawyer whether he can help him (the complainant) in this matter. On this, the lawyer said, of course, I will help him. The court has postponed the hearing of the case till December 4. Not only this, the Supreme Court has asked the lawyer that till then he should understand all the facts related to the case. The court said that this is a bit complicated matter. Take your time and study thoroughly about it. For the time being, we adjourn the matter till December 4.
