Damoh: A surprising incident is coming to the fore from Damoh in Madhya Pradesh. Here the incident of a Dalit being converted to Christianity by luring and then threatening him has come to the fore. The victim woman told that she and her husband were converted to Christianity by paying money. But when those people stopped going to church, they were threatened. Four times more rupees are being demanded than the given amount for conversion.

In this, the aggrieved Dalit woman is accusing Pastor Ajay Lal and his associates of giving Rs 1 lakh 20 thousand for conversion and threatening her if she does not go to church. The victim told the media that Thomas, Sajan, and others had threatened her several times for not coming to the church and worshiping idols. The victim says that now four times more money is being demanded than what was given to her for adopting Christianity.

The victim says that when the people of the Christian missionary gave her money for conversion, they did not say that they would have to return the money. The victim claims that she has returned Rs 90,000 out of the given amount. She is also ready to give back the rest of the money. She also has the signature of the criminal in the diary as evidence. The Dalit woman, who has been converted, has also alleged that the Christian priest and his people say that if she and her husband do not go to church, they will have to pay four times more as interest. Recently, the incident of conversion had come to the fore in the hostel of the Christian Missionary of Damoh. Thereafter, On 13 November 2022, National Child Rights Protection Commission (NCPCR) chairman Priyank Kanungo lodged an FIR against 10 persons at Damoh Dehat police station. The name of that Christian pastor Ajay Lal is also included in this FIR, on whom the Dalit woman, who was a victim of conversion, has accused him of converting by paying money and now recovering four times more.
