New Delhi: The controversial Gyanvapi Mosque case in Varanasi was today debated in the Supreme Court. The Supreme Court has transferred the Gyanvapi Mosque case to the district judge. After hearing a plea from the Muslim side, Justice Chandrachud Singh said that it is not prohibited to ascertain the religious character of a place. Was it to see what was there? Justice Chandrachud Singh made the observation on this. The top court has expressed displeasure over the leak of the report of the surveying commission.
The top court said that the report of the commission should not be leaked and the report should be submitted only before the judge. The court said during the hearing that the leaks in the media should be stopped. The report had to be submitted to the court. The court should have opened it.
