New Delhi: The Supreme Court on Wednesday (April 19, 2022) commuted the death sentence of Mohammed Firoz, who raped and murdered a 4-year-old innocent girl, to life imprisonment. The apex court, while pronouncing its verdict, said, "Every sinner also has a future and the justice in this case is that the punishment for the hanging of the convict should be commuted to life imprisonment." A three-judge bench of Justices UU Lalit, S Ravindra Bhat and Bela M Trivedi, while delivering its verdict, also said, "The maximum punishment awarded to a criminal cannot always be a deciding factor to correct his perverted mindset." '

In the judgment delivered on April 19, the Supreme Court also said that when released from jail, he should be given a chance to become a socially useful person. Lawyer Nitin Meshram is very happy with the apex court's decision. He tweeted his happiness. Meshram wrote in a tweet, "I got a stay on the death sentence in this case in 2014. Happy that his death sentence has been commuted to life imprisonment. Live your life Firoz. '

At the same time, the rapester and murderer Firoz has not been hanged, so that the accused lawyer Nitin Meshram has come under the attack of netizens for his old tweets. In fact, Meshram is the same lawyer who had ever demanded the death sentence of a pandit if he was accused (who was not even convicted) in a rape and murder case.

Nitin Meshram's old tweets are going viral on Twitter. He tweeted on August 3 last year. He had written that if the pandit accused in the rape and murder case is found guilty, then that pandit should be hanged. However, now the Supreme Court lawyer Nitin Meshram may have forgotten his previous tweet. On April 21, 2022, he tweeted welcoming the apex court's decision to commute the death sentence of the 4-year-old innocent's rapist and murderer to life imprisonment. Not only this, Meshram also writes that Firoz should live his life. Now, social media users are questioning lawyer Nitin Meshram's double-faced attitude and asking him that if both Pandit and Firoz are guilty (though Pandit was not even proven guilty at the time of the lawyer's tweet), then why not ask for a hanging for both of them?
