Lucknow: A youth in Uttar Pradesh's Kheri police station area on Thursday night first thrashed his father in his house with sticks, then dragged him to the state highway outside the village. On the highway, Kaliyugi's son killed his father. After which the local villagers thrashed the killer's son and handed him over to the police. There is a money dispute behind the incident.

Jagdish Prasad (60), a resident of village Chimni under the Kheri police station area, had mortgaged some of his lands. His younger son Jitendra alias Darshan was demanding money from him. He did not want to give money to his son, which was the reason why the two got into a dispute on Thursday. It is said that son Jitendra first beat his father Jagdish badly with sticks in the house. Not only this, but he also beat Rameshwari, the mother of the accused who came to the rescue. After this, he dragged his father to Lakhimpur Sitapur fourline outside the village and stabbed him to death with a sickle in front of everyone.

After committing the crime, when the accused son started running away from the spot, he was caught by the villagers and beaten up. By then, someone had reported the matter to the police. Police arrived at the scene. The villagers handed over the killer to the police. The police took the accused with them and took the body of the father in custody and sent it for post-mortem. Inspector Kheri PK Mishra said that the elder brother has lodged a case of murder against the youth. The accused is in custody.
