New Delhi: Supreme Court to hear Ayodhya dispute case. A five-judge Constitution bench headed by Chief Justice Ranjan Gogoi will hear the matter at 2 pm today. Indeed, the arbitration panel on Thursday submitted its report in a sealed envelope to the top court. The Constitution Bench will look into the report today to decide when to start hearing the main case. Earlier in the previous hearing, the Supreme Court had directed the arbitration panel to complete the arbitration work by July 31 and submit the report on August 1.

The Supreme Court is scheduled to hear the same report today. The Constitution Bench had said that it will take a decision after seeing the final report of the arbitration panel on August 2 and whether the matter will be heard on a daily day. Indeed, the arbitration panel had filed a report in the Supreme Court seeking more time to complete the arbitration. Advocate Parasaran of hindu party Gopal Visharad had sought the apex court to fix the date of hearing at the earliest and said that even if there is an agreement, it needs court approval.

On behalf of Muslim parties, Rajiv Dhawan had protested, saying it was not the time to criticise the mediation process. Rajiv Dhawan had sought dismissal of the petition questioning the arbitration process, but Nirmohi Akhara had supported Gopal Singh's plea and said the arbitration process was not moving in the right direction.
