Swati Maliwal, MP and Aam Aadmi Party leader, reportedly broke down during the bail hearing of Bibhav Kumar in a Delhi court on May 27, according to report.

Maliwal was present at the bail hearing of Delhi Chief Minister and AAP convenor Arvind Kejriwal's personal assistant (PA) Bibhav Kumar, who is accused of allegedly assaulting her earlier this month.

Bibhav Kumar's Bail Plea

Bibhav Kumar had moved a bail plea at the Delhi court on Saturday, May 25. The court had sought a response from the Delhi Police on this matter.

Kumar's lawyers moved his bail plea to the court after he was sent to four-day judicial custody on May 24.

Maliwal's Allegations

Swati Maliwal has alleged that she was assaulted by Bibhav Kumar when she went to meet the Chief Minister at his residence on May 13. Kumar was arrested on May 18 and has been in police custody since then.

Anticipatory Bail Plea

Kumar's anticipatory bail plea, which was filed last Saturday, was observed to have become "infructuous" by the court.

Delhi Police's Statement

The Delhi Police has claimed that Bibhav Kumar was not cooperating with the investigation, was evasive in his replies, and has not disclosed his mobile phone password.

This case has drawn attention due to its high-profile nature and the involvement of prominent political figures.
