Ahmedabad resident Mana Patel will participate in the 100m backstroke swimming competition to be held at the Tokyo Olympics. She will become the first Indian woman to participate in the event, having represented India in several international swimming tournaments and also won gold medals. But this is the first time she will play for an Olympics.

Mana told the media about her selection at the Olympics that she is extremely excited. She wants her medal wardrobe to include medals from the Olympics, commonwealth, and Asiad, all sports. Mana has said that she practices for five hours a day, in which she practices for two hours in the morning, one hour in the afternoon, two hours in the evening. At the same time, she also works out for an hour in the gym. Granted, apart from your physical fitness, mental fitness is also taken care of.

Mana is also completely vegetarian.  Mana Patel first made headlines when she set a new record in Indian swimming in 2013 at the age of 13. Since then everyone expected Mana to bring a medal for the country at the Olympics. Now that Mana has got the Olympic ticket, now she is ready to work harder.
