New Delhi: A major road accident has been reported late in the night on the National Highway near Kalyanpuri area of the national capital. Three people were killed in a collision between a speeding tempo and a water tanker here late Friday night. According to a report by news agency ANI, there were 13 people on board in the tempo who were going to visit Nainital.

According to information, the driver of the tempo was also killed in the accident. 10 injured people are undergoing treatment in nearby hospitals. A speeding car slammed two people sleeping on the pavement in Delhi's Kashmiri Gate area late Wednesday night. One person was killed while the other was seriously injured. Both have not been identified. Police have arrested the accused driver from the spot.

The incident is reported to be of Shahdara flyover in Kashmiri Gate area. According to police, homeless people sleep on the pavement of Shahdara flyover. At night, a car from Seelampur was coming down from a very fast flyover. The driver suddenly lost control near the Kashmiri Gate and took the car and climbed onto the pavement. The tyre of the car exploded while crushing two people sleeping there and the car overturned uncontrollably.
