Mangalagiri: CPI state secretary K Ramakrishna and CPI state assistant secretary Mupalla Nageswara Rao and party's state executive member Jangla Ajay Kumar on Wednesday visited the TDP's central office and other places. TDP national general secretary Nara Lokesh told them how the campus was vandalized by miscreants. Ramakrishna described the sabotage by miscreants at other places in the state as an attempt to murder democracy. He visited the TDP's central office here to express solidarity.

Addressing a press conference, the CPI state secretary said the attacks on TDP offices were carried out under a well-planned plan and under the supervision of the ruling party leadership. Such dastardly and unfortunate incidents had never happened in the state before. Ramakrishna said the TDP's central office is located at a short distance from the DGP's office. It is clear that the attack took place with the active connivance of the police. Such a horrific incident would not have happened at such a place without the knowledge of the Chief Minister. AP Police has failed miserably in the last two and a half years. Despite being informed about the impending attacks on TDP offices, he did not respond.

The CPI secretary termed it unacceptable that the police were following the orders of the ruling YSRCP leaders as an unwritten law. If the leaders of the ruling party continue to promote hooliganism, they will themselves become victims of the same hooliganism. The CPI leader said all opposition parties were strongly condemning the attacks. Intellectuals, political parties and mass organizations should come forward to stop the attacks of YSRCP. He demanded that Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy immediately apologize for what happened to the main opposition party offices.
