Hyderabad: BJP state president Bandi Sanjay started his 'Praja Sangram Yatra' by offering prayers at the historic Bhagyalakshmi temple. Many national leaders including Union Tourism Minister G Kishan Reddy, BJP National General Secretary in-charge of Telangana Tarun Chugh, BJP OBC Morcha National President Dr K Laxman, party National Vice President DK Aruna and other leaders were present on the occasion. .

Kishan Reddy listed the unfulfilled promises of the ruling TRS and accused the MIM and TRS of not allowing the Metro to enter the old city. He said that TRS is going only what MIM wants from them. He said it was surprising that the government was trying its best to defeat party candidate Eatala Rajendra in Huzurabad. But he expressed confidence that the BJP would win the bypolls with a thumping majority.

Throwing light on the purpose of his padyatra, Sanjay said that it aims to create awareness among the people about the failures of the KCR government during the last seven years and achieve 'democratic Telangana'. He said that the government has failed to fulfill the promises made during the agitation for a separate Telangana. He said it has failed to supply free urea, cannot give notification for jobs, cannot give unemployment allowance. There were tense moments when BJP workers staged a sit-in in front of the police station when the police snatched the drone camera saying that permission was not there. The march continued even when it rained. There was traffic jam on the padyatra route at Afzalganj, Begum Bazar, MJ Market and other places.
